How long does it take to switch home care software to Nestaid?
About a day to go live on the phones. Employees and clients import from CSV as onboarding stubs, payers and service rates are set in a seven-step wizard, your phone line is connected to one Nestaid number, and the Receptionist goes live the same afternoon. The Coordinator then runs in approve-first mode for the first weeks, and billing moves across when you're ready. Data quality and any historical migration are scoped with you first.
Frequently asked questions
Can we run Nestaid in parallel with our current system?
Yes. You can run both for the last weeks of a contract: Receptionist first, then the Coordinator in approve mode, then billing once visits are verified in Nestaid.
What about our contract?
Nestaid is month-to-month, so you can start before your current contract ends and switch billing when it does.
What happens to half-complete employee records?
Imported staff arrive as onboarding stubs. The supported client and employee fields are kept, and the missing pieces — documents, credentials, availability — get completed over time instead of blocking the import.
Who owns our data?
You do. Export your data on request; it's part of the platform plan, not an add-on.
Do we lose our visit history?
Your history stays in your export. Nestaid imports current employees and clients; talk to us if you need historical visits migrated.
What should we have ready before we switch?
Written notice to your current vendor before its renewal date; an export of employees and clients; your payer list with service codes and rates; current authorizations with units used to date; the signed care plan for each active client; and the phone number you want forwarded.
How long does the whole switch take?
The phones move in a day. The Coordinator runs in approve-first mode for the first couple of weeks. Billing moves when your contract ends, or sooner once a full cycle of visits has verified cleanly in Nestaid. Cleaning your export before the import is the step that takes the time, and historical visit migration is scoped separately.
