Meet your new staff. They work the night shift.
Five agents and a copilot — Receptionist, Coordinator, EVV Expert, Recruiter, Care Plan Generator and Nessa. Each has a job, a boundary, and a boss. You.

How they work together
One call-out, four hand‑offs.
9:05 p.m. to 8:30 a.m., start to finish. Nobody in the office woke up.

The roster
Five agents and a copilot.
Each one hired for a job you are doing by hand tonight.

Receptionist
Answers the phone at 2 a.m. Calls and texts, day or night, in English and Spanish.
Works in Clients & intakeWhere it stops
- Never changes a shift itself. Call-outs go to the Coordinator.
- Never gives clinical advice.
- Escalates anything it cannot classify to a human on your chain.

Coordinator
On the call-out in minutes. Ranks the roster, texts in waves, takes the first yes.
Works in SchedulingWhere it stops
- Manual mode is available: it proposes, you approve, then it acts.
- Never moves a shift that has already started.
- Never contacts a caregiver who declared unavailability.
- Never sends client PHI to unassigned staff. Coverage messages don't name the client.

EVV Expert
Chases the missed clock-in. Chases the missing one before it becomes an exception.
Works in Caregiver appWhere it stops
- Never clocks in for the caregiver. The clock-in is the caregiver's act. That's the whole point of EVV.
- Never edits time. The office verifies every manual entry.

Recruiter
Screens applicants on a Saturday night. Answers on a Saturday, screens, books the interview.
Works in Forms & website leadsWhere it stops
- Never makes an offer. The hiring decision stays human.

Care Plan Generator
From authorization to a signed plan. Parsed to service codes, drafted, signed by the family.
Works in Care plans & e-signatureWhere it stops
- Generates from your service code and task library. A human reviews and signs every plan.
- Never gives clinical advice; the plan is your document.

Nessa
Just ask. The copilot you talk to instead of clicking.
Works in Reports & Live OpsWhere it stops
- Grounded in your data through typed, permissioned tools. Nessa never touches the database directly, and what it proposes is shown for your review before it runs.
- In approve-first mode, anything that contacts a person or changes the schedule is shown before it happens. Write actions stay off until you turn them on.
- Agency-local time everywhere. Write actions are enabled per agency.
Human in the loop
You decide how far it goes.
Per agent, per agency, changeable any day. Start each one at the bottom and turn it up on your own data.
01
Suggest
It surfaces. You act.
02
Draft
It writes. You send.
Where we suggest starting
03
Propose
It prepares. You approve.
04
Act, you review
It updates the record. You can roll a change back.
05
Autonomous
It acts inside your rules.
- 01SuggestIt surfaces. You act.
- 02DraftIt writes. You send.
- 03ProposeIt prepares. You approve.
- 04Act, you reviewIt updates the record. You can roll a change back.
- 05AutonomousIt acts inside your rules.
In approve-first mode, anything that contacts a person or moves a shift is shown before it happens. Turn autonomy up and it acts inside the permissions you set. Either way it lands in the same audit log as your staff's.
Guardrails
What none of them will do.
Agents work through typed, permissioned tools with internal IDs, and a coverage message never names the client. How we handle data

Built into the engine, the same for people and agents
Never moves a started shift · Coordinator
Never clocks anyone in · EVV Expert
Never makes an offer · Recruiter
Never gives clinical advice · All of them
How much should AI do in a home care agency?
As much as the agency has approved, and no more. In Nestaid each agent runs at the rung the agency sets, from Suggest or Propose, where it prepares the action and a human approves, up to Autonomous within policy. In approve-first mode anything that contacts a person or changes the schedule is shown before it happens, and every action lands in the same audit log as your staff's.
Frequently asked questions
Are these agents features or separate products?
Neither. They are staff that ship with Nestaid and run on the same scheduling, EVV, billing and payroll engine your office uses. You turn each on per agency.
How much can an agent do on its own?
As much as you allow. You set each agent's rung on the autonomy ladder: Suggest, Draft, Propose, Act with review, Autonomous within policy. We recommend starting low and turning it up on your own data.
What do the agents never do?
The Receptionist never changes a shift. The Coordinator never moves a started shift or contacts an unavailable caregiver. The EVV Expert never clocks in for anyone. The Recruiter never makes an offer. None give clinical advice.
Do the agents see client PHI?
They work through typed, permissioned tools with internal IDs; coverage messages never name the client.
Can I try one agent first?
Yes. We suggest the Receptionist first, then the Coordinator in approve-first mode for a couple of weeks.
